Frequently Asked Questions.

+ Where are you located?

We are located in mid-town Toronto, steps away from Avenue and Lawrence. After booking your appointment, you will receive a confirmation email with the address of our location and directions on how to access the clinic. Street parking is available from 9am-12am.

+ How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions required is dependent upon my findings during the initial assessment. For the majority of pelvic conditions that I treat, a minimum of 6 sessions is recommended. For exercise programs, results can typically be seen within 8 - 12 sessions, which is why my plans are all 12 weeks long.

+ Do you direct bill to insurance?

I do not offer direct billing. However, you will automatically receive an invoice after each of our sessions with all of the information you will need to submit a claim through your insurance provider.

+ How do I know whether virtual sessions will work for me?

I can assess, diagnose, and treat pelvic floor dysfunction virtually by taking a thorough subjective history, performing a complete functional assessment, and creating a personalized plan for you. Virtual sessions naturally complement the discipline of pelvic health as it requires ongoing discussion and education as well as a large focus on exercise and pelvic floor training. These sessions are highly effective. If I determine during our session that you would benefit from an internal exam, I will recommend that for you. My main goal is to help you see results, so I will always recommend what I believe is best for you!

+ What can I expect during my initial assessment?

The initial assessment typically includes the following:

Review of the intake form - including your past medical history, gynecological history, exercise, nutrition (water intake, diet), symptoms, concerns, and goals.

Breathing, posture, and full-body assessment (joint range of motion, muscle strength, functional tests, and more!)

External and internal pelvic floor assessment to assess the pelvic floor musculature and surrounding structures of the pelvis.

Treatment: soft tissue release, nerve flossing, scar healing, breath work, pain management, exercise prescription, & more.

+ What equipment do I need for my sessions?

For in-person sessions, I recommend that you bring shorts and a sports bra to allow for better assessment and treatment - all other equipment is provided in the clinic. For virtual sessions, you will need a mat.

+ What is your cancellation policy?

You may cancel your appointment up to 24 hours before free of charge. If you cancel your session less than 24 hours before your appointment, you will be charged a cancellation fee that equates to 100% of the service fee to compensate for this time as this slot may not be filled within such a short period. You may also choose to reschedule your appointment to a later date. If you are cancelling due to an emergency or extenuating circumstances, the cancellation fee will be waived.
