Improved Mobility

I like to flow with control, stability, and awareness of my body in each posture and transition. My style of teaching offers room for recovery, flexibility and mobility work, and training to enhance our other activities. I see yoga as an adjunct to life - it's necessary to sustain our bodies through the activities and exercise that we do.

Improved Posture

It goes without saying that these classes will improve your posture - each class involves my tried and true posture training method, including chest and upper spine opening, shoulder stability, balance, and core training.

Injury Prevention

These classes are designed to help you move and function better - building stability around the low back and shoulders, building endurance in the deep core, improving nerve mobility, connecting with our pelvic floor muscles, releasing tension in the body, and more. Prevention is the key to longevity, health, and wellness.

Greater Awareness of Your Body & Movement Habits

With my background in physiotherapy, anatomy and rehabilitation remains a strong focus in all of my classes - expect to learn more about yourself and your movement patterns and how you can improve your movement for better function and performance.

Hayley’s goal is to blend her background in rehabilitation and knowledge of anatomy and physiology with the practice of yoga to bring you classes that are designed to prevent injury and dysfunction, alleviate pain (based on common clinical conditions), improve posture, improve strength of the deep core, maintain pelvic floor health, and improve mental clarity and focus.

In addition to completing her HBSc and MScPT from the University of Toronto, Hayley has completed her 275 hour Yoga Teacher Training under Jackie Szabo founder of SAANA Yoga and Wander Home Retreats. Since beginning her teacher training, Hayley has been inspired by both the art and science of sequencing yoga classes. She believes strongly in preventative based care and using movement as medicine.
